None affect play ability. My mother performed frequently at open mike nights around town, usually solo, and often accompanied herself on this guitar. For sale is a Martin 00-16C Classical guitar Serial No. My mother, Madeleine, was the original owner of this guitar, having received it as a from my father.

Sometimes the artists dropped in at local open mikes and things got really wild. The folk music and hootenanny craze was in full swing. This would have been a very early production of this model. This guitar is in Very Good condition.

She was well known locally for her lovely voice. Although not technically accomplished as a guitarist, her accompaniment was effectively musical and she had small but devoted following. Photos of her, and a copy her memoir, are on display today in the National Holocaust Museum. 187411 manufactured in early 1963, per Lr of Mike Long worth C.F.

Sadly, I am not aware of any existing recordings her performances, although they are fixed in my memory. All are shown clearly in the photographs. There were so many others but I can't remember all of their names. She owned it until shortly before her death in 2022.

She had emigrated from Paris as a 16 year old after the war and, at time of her death age 94, she was one few remaining Holocaust survivors. The neck has been reset and the fret board frets redone by noted Luther George Young blood, it refit with a new bridge saddle.
