Pros of buying a 1976 Morris G-212 Classical Guitar:

1. Vintage appeal: The guitar's 1976 vintage year gives it a unique and classic look, making it an attractive piece for collectors and musicians who appreciate the history and character of older instruments.

2. Solid construction: The G-212 is made with high-quality materials, including a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a rosewood fretboard, which contribute to its rich, full sound and durability.

3. Playability: The guitar's neck is designed for easy playability, with a comfortable width and low action, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced musicians.

4. Versatility: The G-212's classical design allows it to be used for a variety of music styles, including classical, flamenco, and fingerstyle.

Cons of buying a 1976 Morris G-212 Classical Guitar:

1. Higher price: Due to its vintage status and high-quality construction, the G-212 is more expensive than many modern classical guitars. This may be a deterrent for some musicians who are looking for a more affordable option.

2. Potential need for repair: Vintage guitars, especially those over 40 years old, may require some repair or restoration work. This can add to the cost and time required to get the guitar in playing condition.

3. Limited availability: The G-212 is a rare and sought-after guitar, which means that finding one in good condition may be challenging. This can make it difficult for musicians to find the exact model they are looking for, and they may end up paying a premium for a used instrument.

Conclusion: The 1976 Morris G-212 Classical Guitar is a high-quality, vintage instrument with a rich sound and classic appearance. Its solid construction and playability make it a versatile and attractive option for musicians of all levels. However, its higher price and potential need for repair may be a deterrent for some. Ultimately, whether or not the G-212 is the right guitar for you will depend on your budget, musical needs, and personal preferences.

Recommendation: If you are a collector or musician who appreciates vintage instruments and is willing to invest in a high-quality classical guitar, the 1976 Morris G-212 Classical Guitar is a great option to consider. However, if you are looking for a more affordable option or are not particularly interested in vintage guitars, there are many other high-quality classical guitars available that may better suit your needs. It's always a good idea to research and try out several options before making a purchase to ensure that you are getting the best guitar for your budget and musical goals.

Details:

Yoko ya or Tokyo which is different from the inspection name g. I am the second owner and it has never been in a smoke filled house. At the top right of label on inside guitar is a hand written signature which appears to read gt.

The neck appears to be mahogany, with rosewood fret board and frets show very minimum wear. It has the original hard shell case which is included with purchase that was probably new guitar. There are no cracks in the wood and top, back, sides all solid with issues. High gloss finish which is very durable.

The back is book matched rosewood with a nice inlaid stripe down middle. Possibly Brazilian rosewood, but cannot determine that for sure. It features a spruce top and rosewood back sides fingerboard. The rosewood bridge plate is not separating from top at all and has original saddle which been sized down.

Ramada on the label and may have been Luther. The only information I ever got was from a YouTube who collects rare and different unique guitars, but that year ago have not been able to find anything about this model since. They were put on after I bought this guitar because the original plastic turns had disintegrated and what could find at center. There are no deep scratches or gouges, just some strum marks on the top.

The neck is flat and straight with no relief evident. It looks to be solid woodlot ply or laminate as the grains can seen going thru looking inside of sound hole at back and holes edge. It is extremely well built with no separations in the various transitions of wood or joints. The head stock has 1 16th 1 8th inch thick rosewood veneer on face which is ornately carved.

This is a 1976 model G-212 classical guitar made by Morris guitars in japan. It has all the latches and handles is in good condition for its age. The butt of neck is capped with rosewood as well which same density and color back.

I would say this is a rare guitar, because there no information on it. If you know anything about these 1970s japan built guitars, they are highly sought after because of the excellent hand-built quality, materials and sound. This one has a carved head stock and features nice inlaid butterflies around the sound hole with purling as well.

The tuners are not original to guitar but they work fine.
