This Japanese Shiro Kiboto C-40 guitar from the 1970s has been through some major rehab. However, if you re looking for a perfect, unmolested piece, this is not your guitar. There are little nicks and dings that expected in a 50 year old instrument. This guitar also was fitted with a new pure bone saddle that is at its maximum height .

It looks amazing. The head stock is in good condition and so are the original tuners which function well. This guitar required a neck angle adjustment which it received and now the action is excellent about 3 1/4mm at 12tg fret. Although the repair is visible theres just no way around that, trauma has been mitigated by some finessing which involved masking, filling, staining and clear coating.

Overall, this vintage instrument looks and sounds good. Is it hurtful to the eye. This guitar has been saved and given a second life. The soundboard is flat, free from any damage or bellying.

If you can't access it especially if don't have an iPhone, please let me know. It just needs someone to play it and love for everything is its been through. Firstly the bridge has been reattached and is now good for another 50 years. It was successfully replaced along with new binding on that portion of the backs seam.

That said, this was a major repair and understandably quite traumatic for any instrument. Only you know if you re that person. The neck is straight and the fret board has also been brought down to bare wood, oiled waxed match bridge. In that process the bridge was stripped to bare wood, oiled and waxed.

I would say that the repairs are quite good.
