The tape holding battery in place had never even been removed. Made of pieces natural color and stained wood, the rosette features accents ebony, pad auk turquoise maple. It was a to the original owner, put in closet and forgotten about. This guitar was produced in the late 90s and is truly as new condition.
Up for sale is an incredibly rare and awesome closet find. Some info from the attached hangdog. There is no reserve but I am starting it at 900 which would frankly be steal on this guitar in condition.
This instrument is significantly different from anything Takamine has ever made. Obviously prior to listing it I did open make sure the battery had not leaked and that everything we in tip top shape. The fingerboard inlays are made of natural turquoise and reflect a motif found in Arapaho pottery.
The sides and back of santa fe are highly figured silky oak that provide not only a stunning appearance, but wonderfully bright clear tone. It comes with the original case manual, hangdog and polishing cloth. As you can see from the pictures it still has original plastic and foam was packed in.
