This is a good starter 8 string guitar that comfortable to play. I have used 7 and 8 string guitars for over 20 years the utility, quality, comfort of this Ortega guitar exceeds several my previous more expensive acoustic. I recently located a Comings seven string nylon with an LR Bags Anthem pickup that sounds incredible and is my new gigging rig at over 12 times the original cost of this Ortega guitar. 2024 Ortega RCE159RW-8 - 8 String Acoustic/Electric Nylon Guitar and Gig Bag.

This guitar performs very well considering its reasonable cost in particular the tuning stability and projected sound of F# B extended low bass range strings. The Ortega sounds very good acoustically, and has a full range bridge Puzo pickup with volume tone dials in the sound hole.
