This Alvarez rosewood classical has opened up nicely with age. It has excellent tone, with deep, resonant bass, balanced mid range, and bright pleasant trebles.
Beautiful vintage Alvarez classical guitar model 5006 is made in japan. The 5006s were made in the early to mid 70s. Add a new Alvarez, custom fit, deluxe padded, soft case with compartments for only the volume is strong, it projects quite well and the sound is simply gorgeous.
Being an older classical it has typical wear marks on the top and back with scuffs scratches. It may be Brazilian rosewood on the back sides. The top has typical player wear with small dents light scratches. The neck is straight, the frets are good and the joints are tight.
Dark laminated rosewood back and sides with a laminated spruce top in overall beautiful condition with typical wear marks from the years. It has a well balanced sound across the string range. The action at the 12th fret on bass treble strings is only 1mm above 1 8th of an inch.
Rare vintage handmade Alvarez 5006 classical guitar with spruce top, plus a gorgeous rosewood body. As pictures show, this guitar is in fine shape for its age. Whoever gets this classical rosewood Alvarez will fall in love with it.
The cedar top gives it a very warm mellow tone, with a moody very intimate sound. The frets and fret board are in very good condition. The sides are in amazing hi gloss condition. Sustain is very good from lows to highs as well.
It comes with a new set of label strings. This special edition Alvarez is close to the quality of the Alvarez Yuri classical guitars.
